Education
Mr. Torrano received his law degree from the University of Buenos Aires in 1998. He also completed a degree course on Judicial Law (2010/2011). He also completed the following postgraduate courses at the University of Buenos Aires: "Fundamental Principles and Regulation in Consumer Law, Historical Evolution of Consumer Relationships, Regional Integration, EU and MERCOSUR" (2000); "Consumer Legislation, Direct and Indirect Means of Consumer Protection, Offer, Advertising and Information" (2001); "Contracts and Consumer Policy, Related Contracts, Oppressive clauses, Responsibility and Warranty, Health Care Insurance" (2002); "Protection of Competition I and II"(2003), and Teacher’s training courses developed by the Center for Teaching Development, University of Buenos Aires Law School (1999/2004).
Academic Activity
Mr. Torrano is Director of a Postgraduate Diploma course in "Consumer Law and Business" at the Universidad de Ciencias Empresariales y Sociales - UCES-(since 2008).
He is a professor of "Civil and Commercial Obligations at the University of Buenos Aires Law School (since 1999). Mr. Torrano is a Visiting Professor at the postgraduate course "Legal Protection of Consumers and Users" at the University of Buenos Aires Law School (2011).
He was appointed Assistant Professor for the subjects, "Procedural Law II" and "Practical Legal Training" at the Facultad de Ciencias Jurídicas de la Universidad del Salvador (1998-2002).
Mr. Torrano was also Visiting Professor at the annual seminar "Today's Consumer Law," at the Fundación Centro de Investigaciones Jurídicas y Económicas -CIJE- (2009).
